Though "based on a mobile phone novel" may not sound like a ringing endorsement, one would have to be in Japan to understand the phenomenal popularity of Koizora (a.k.a. Sky of Love). Penned by an anonymous writer who claims the controversial heart-wrenching story to be her own experience, Koizora sold over ten million downloaded copies in its first year alone, and went on to sell in the millions in published form. The story inspired a manga, spin-off stories, and now a feature film starring Japan's latest it-girl, Aragaki Yui. Already a popular model and TV actress, Aragaki made the leap to stardom in a big way in 2007 with both her feature film and J-pop debuts. Her performances in Koizora, Koisuru Madori, and Waruboro have already garnered her Best New Performer honors at the 50th Blue Ribbon Awards. Equally fair-featured teen heartthrob Miura Haruma from Catch a Wave and 14 Year Old Mother and rising actor Koide Keisuke (Kisaragi) star opposite Aragaki in this pure love youth melodrama. At the helm is popular television director Imai Natsuki (Orange Days), making her feature film debut.

Koizora largely succeeds through its touching story and photogenic young leads whose onscreen chemistry may charm the most jaded of viewers. Aragaki and Miura star as high school sweethearts Mika and Hiro. Wide-eyed girl-next door Mika falls head over heels into first love when she meets bleached-hair delinquent Hiro. But love forces them to grow up too early as they face grave trials and tragedies together.

i suggest you all if want buy, buy from CDJapan better cause cheaper than YesAsia!i have pre-order the Standard Edition...i think i want to change to the Premium edition cause it has a Postcard,Yui Aragaki Message and autographed! omg lol

by the way...yesterday i go watch Koizora at the theater...hmmm the movie is only casual to me...a casual but quite extra ordinary love story...
if in my review i will write : An simply yet powerfull love story, with passion you will get what you want.

i see...but the story say have made 11 milion people cry...it was not sad at all to me...only yawning several time(the theater was quite cold)

the movie is not boring but it is just a casual story to me...but when i watch in the theater the funny thing is some girl is crying haha i heard *isk isk* sound and *shreet shreet* ingus sound
