Fuji Film's photo festival begins

July 1st, Fuji Film held an opening ceremony for the photo exhibition "Fuji Film photo festival in Tokyo Midtown" in their headquarters' gallery called "Fuji Film Square" that is going to open on the 2nd of July.

This photo festival is the largest of its kind in Japan with photographs of 10,000 people on display. The overall theme for the exhibition is "my precious memory", but there are also a lot of nature themed pictures with titles such as "the greenery I want to protect" or "the water I want to protect" and similar.


Horikita Maki, who is also showcasing one of her own photographs attended the preview party as well.
"I really love to take pictures. It was very difficult to select only one picture for this exhibition. When I was in Berlin this May, I once was completely surrounded by the sky except of right above me, that's what I took a picture of." she said.
"To be able to include one (of my pictures) in this exhibition and to let others sympathy with it makes me very happy."
